Homecoming '79 - A Trip To Disneylanc M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E was heard echoing through the halls of Harding Academy the week of October 8. One of the highlights of the year, the Homecoming game, took place on Friday, October 12. The theme of this year's Home- coming was The Wonderful World of Disney. This theme was widely displayed in the halls, floats, skits, and cos- tumes. The different dress-up days were Western Day, For- ties and Fifties Day, and Disney Character Day. Individual spirit sticks were awarded at the pep rally and the band played the Mickey Mouse Club theme song. To climax the week, the Lions roared to a victory over Skyview. You're A Good lVlan Charlie Brown The faculty staged the production You're A Good Man Charlie Brown to get the school year started with a bang. The play ran from August 30 through September 1. The main character, Charlie Brown, was played by Michael Semore. Barry Lumpkin appeared as Schroeder and Diane Poe played the part of Peppermint Patti. Gary Holloway portrayed Linus while Deb Holloway, as Lucy, kept the audience laughing. Billy Pullen, as Snoopy, com- pleted the cast. The teachers displayed a great deal of talent in this fine production.
