That mark was HSU’s best record in almost a decade, and the 7-7 TAAC record was HSU's best ever in the league. Several individuals turned in outstand- ing performances. Senior Byron Strickland was a second-team All-TAAC honorable mention. The Cowgirls ended with a 7-21 record for the season, but that does not indicate the way the team hustled throughout the year. Playing one of the toughest schedules in the country, the Cowboys faced nationally-ranked opponents almost Juniors Charles Okoye and Owen Chong, along with sophomore Lin Powell were named to the All-TAAC team, each for the second year in a Junior fullback Michael Hamlet keeps his eye on the ball as a pair of defenders move in. Hamlet was selected the outstanding scholar-athlete for soccer in the Trans America Athletic Conference.
