Two HSG graduates who recently experienced the shock of leaving the campus environment for the so-called real world are Ryan and Janice Rowlands, now husband and wife as well as fellow employees of a local oil operating company. For Jamey Plunk, a senior from Argen- tina, windsurfing is the best thing to do on such a I enjoy going up to Fort Phantom Lake after classes in the morning and spend the whole after- noon just windsurfing, said Plunk. Plunk learned how to windsurf in Dallas. A friend in Dallas was the one who got me in- terested in windsurfing, Plunk said. Besides windsurfing for fun, Jamey is a windsurfer in- structor for the Abilene YMCA. “I like teaching the children a sport that I am pretty good at do- ing, said Jamey. Jamey is a member of TAG and is also a member of the Baptist Student Gnion. He played on the HSG men’s volleyball team and was selected to the All-Cowboy Invitational team. If you are ever bored on a beautiful day, just drive up to Fort Phantom Lake and there you might see Jamey Plunk doing some crazy moves on his windsurfing board.
