BRONCO Hardin-Simmons University Abilene, Texas Vol. 68 It was a comfortable year at H-SU. The forty acres provided a quiet refuge for some 1,600 students from the seemingly insurmountable problems of the rest of the world. We were aware of the major issues of the day, but they really didn't seem to affect our daily lives. We were free to pursue our own interests, develop our individual talents, and seek answers to our many questions. It was a time of preparation as we approached the day when we would have to accept our full responsibilities in the world.
