E. L. BOWDEN, Chairman of the Department of BOARD OF TRUSTEES 3 emoriam We pause to remember J. E. Bumam known to his students and friends Prof Bumam. Prof Bumam had been associated with the University sat in his classes through the years he was both a teacher and a friend. Prof Bumam passed away June 27, 1961, the entire University felt mendous loss. It is with this in mind that we pause to pay tribute to who gave a part of himself to Hardin-Simmons University. Board of Development OFFICERS The Triangle holds 1907-1962 Ohe CnJ of an €. After serving as President of Hardin-Simmons University since July, 1953, Dr. Evan Allard Reiff submitted his resignation on January 25, 1962. Dr. Reiff's tenure of service as president of the University was the third longest in the history of the school. He died in Hendrick Memorial Hospital March 11, 1962. Dr. Rupert N. Coach Hilliard is a Baylor TWO-MILE RELAY TEAM: left to right, JERRY CARSWELL, Freshman: JIMMY FINLEY, Senior: This is Finley's first JERRY CARSWELL, JIMMY FINLEY, ROBERT MASSEY, LEWIS EILAND, AND BILL HARDAGE. Four of these five will be running the mile relay this season. The last four from the left went to Louisville, Ky., and placed third in the event at the start of the 1962 season. 3H The year is gone.
