Founded in 1946 the Rodeo Association stimulates interests and activities in rodeos sors an annual rodeo each spring, this year being its fourteenth rodeo. It is a member of the National Collegiate Rodeo Association. The association has a rodeo team which attends various rodeos throughout the Southwest. It was a nip and tuck battle all BOB TAYLOR Button Basketball The Button Basketballers finished their 1960 season with 11 victories and 13 defeats. In spite of their record, the Buttons showed more promise than any Button team has shown in the last couple of years. The team was coached by Carlos Berry, who has been with the fresh- man basketballers for two years prior to this one. The team was composed of some real fine material this year; every man on the eight-man squad was all-district in high school and two were all-state. They shattered the Abilene Intercollegiate golf tournament with a two under par in the 72-hole meet. They went on to place third in the Border Conference meet. They also made a good showing at several other meets which they entered during the season. The team is coached by Bill Scott, who is also the head varsity basket- ball coach. Coach Scott, has led the golfers to a lofty place in the Border Conference for the past several years.
