Laps, lay-ups, and hard work reaped its rewards this year. The Rebelettes got off to a slow start by being defeated in their first 6 games, but these girls did not lose their incentive. They continued to work hard and made a strong comeback by winning their next 6. They entered the tournament and whipped the Stuart Wildcats by a score of 42-26. Then facing Blue Ridge, the Rebelettes again showed their stuff for a final score of 52-34. The Rebelettes determination and drive paid off as they were crowned the 1969 District R Champs. 87 Barbara does her part in cutting down the nets.
