The Student Cooperative Association directs many school activities at Hardin Reynolds Memorial School. Every student is a member of this organization. The Student Council must have the cooperative efforts of everyone in order that the SCA fulfill its purposes. The SCA is directed by the Student Council, which is made up of elected homeroom representatives, SCA officers, publication editors, and clubs and classes presidents. With services to the school as its chief goal, the SCA conducted many activities this year, such as the following: served as guides to the first graders during the first week of school; maintained attractive bulletin boards; presented flowers to teachers on their birthdays; directed a book fair to provide new reading material for students; in charge of Christmas program for high school and was responsible for treats for elementary departments. SCA sponsor, Mrs. Hanby, discusses business to be brought up next meeting with SCA president, Larry Hopkins. SCA fulfills one of its many projects. 67
