UIL Participants Are Success Story UIL participants started early to prepare for the district meet by working at school and attending several practice meets. ln team debate, A. D. Hardman and Sharon Pitre received a second-place trophy while David Lalfevers also placed second in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Jeff Martin went to regional competition as an alternate in Lincoln-Douglas Debate. Missy Couch, Pon Chase, and Carrie Griffin all placed in the district journalism contest. At regional contest, Carrie Griffin won second, earning her a trip to Austin for the state meet. Rhonda LeDoux qualified for the regional meet in Prose competition along with Lou Cappi who placed in Informative Speaking. The one-act play did well at district, but missed advancing to regional by one place. Calculator contestants are A.D. Hardman, Anthony Gradney, and Jetf Martin.
