Student Council Has Leadership Role The 1984-85 Student Council began its year in August with the Summer Leadership Conference at Stephen F. Austin University. Council officers in attendance were Daniel Davis, Lou Cappi, Tammie Nolte, and Jill Abernathy. When school started in September, the Council was off and running to provide both guidance and pleasure for the student body. They certainly pleased the faculty with a delicious luncheon on Work Day. Fall also meant football games and the responsibility for selling programs at the games and sponsoring after-game dances. Homecoming Week certainly tested the endurance of the Council because there was no rest for them. They were in charge of all activities, including the hall decorating contest, the dress for each day, the candle light pep rally, and the Homecoming Dance. Student Council officers attended the Mid-Winter Workshop in Kerrville. As suddenly as it began, it was over. The school year was coming to an end. The Council's final activity was supervising elections for next year's officers and representatives. 1984- presid 85 Student Council officers are, top to bottom, Lou Cappi, vice- ent, Daniel Davis, president, Jill Abernathy, treasurer, and Tammie Nolte, secretary. Lou Cappi sells programs at a football game.
