Those Retiring Will Be Greatly Missed Pat Morris, speaking with Mr. Kenneth Pelt, is retiring after thirty- four years in education. Many peo- ple in Sour Lake will always have the skills they learned in Mr. Morris' shop class. Others will remember his concern and advice during his years as guidance counselor at Har- din-Jefterson High School. ,Ruby Prejean is retiring after thirty years in education, twenty-six of them in this district. Mrs. Prejean started her career teaching in a seg- regated system. She was one of the leaders for integration and has taught more than one generation of children to read. Floyalene Ellis is retiring after twenty-eight years in education. Mrs. Ellis worked as a hospital nurse before she became the school nurse in Sour Lake. Nurse Ellis has tak- en care of many sick children with concern and kindness as well as medical skill. 150
