The 1600 meter relay team girls are Linda Atkins, Antoinette lones, Linda Evans, and Monique Brown. ti Lady Hawks Track Team ls Much Improved The 1985 girl's track team was much improved from past years. It included eight girls who worked very hard to make it a successful year. Team members included Linda Atkins, Aurora Edwards, Antoinette Jones, Monique Brown, Jennifer Jones, Yolanda Hunter, Patty Stelly, and Manager Christine Arguello. The following is a list of events and participants: 400 meters: Antoinette Jones 1600 meters: Jennifer Jones 1600 Meter relay: Linda Atkins, Antoinette Jones, Linda Evans, and Monique Brown 3200 meters: Jennifer Jones 800 meter relay: Antoinette Jones, Monique Brown, Yolanda Hunter, Linda Atkins 100 meter hurdles: Monique Brown, Linda Atkins, Yolanda Hunter 800 meter run: Linda Evans Shot Put: Aurora Edwards and Patty Stelly Discus: Antoinette Jones and Patty Stelly Long Jump: Linda Atkins and Monique Brown Triple Jump: Monique Brown. The girls participated in track meets at Stephen F. Aus- tin, Orangefield, Hull-Daisetta, Huffman, East Cham- bers, Anahuac, and the District 20-AAA Meet. It was a successful year because the girls worked hard to improve their skills. They should be even better next season.
