Girls Basketball Sandy Wagner JoAnn Deneen Colleen Schwend Jolene Mehllng Kathy Butler Kathi Vandersloot Coach Ede Breitmeier Alma McCormick Janeen Jabs Cheryl Old Elk Ronda Rider Kathy Margheim Janean Koebbe The Hardin Girls' basketball team suffered a very discouraging season. At the beginning of the season, in non-conference play, it looked as though we might be headed in the right direction. But, as the season progressed, we lost games by one or two points. Unfortunately, as the season grew longer, so did the margin of differences,. Even though we didn't have much luck at winning, we never got bored. Initiations were given to the new coach along with three new sophomore players. This consisted of being thrown In a cold shower, clothes and all. Bus trips, by themselves, were just terribly exciting. Between all the breakdowns, the relating of stories about everyone's weekend kept us pretty well occupied. With gossip, jokes and weekends, the losing of ballgames could not get us down. We were a good team that had a problem that is yet to be solved. We had a young team and it was difficult to measure up to teams consisting of all seniors. We have alot of pride representing Hardin High, but our pride can't do it all. Do us a favor and keep the faith for a better year—next year. 10 Page Sponsor: Ben Franklin
