Some, such as English and languages, were a continuation. Others - biology, for instance - opened completely new fields. Well illustrated books made the work interesting; the microscope, however, opened a complete new vista. B” SQUAD HOMECOMING ROYALTY CONNIE MUHLBEIER DFRRTE REED LINDA SEDER Coach Dick Imer is pleased with the prospects for his 1967 track squad, which, although small in numbers, is large in potential. Husky Mark Doane toys with the sixteen pound shot. In the district meet, Mark, with a toss of 55 feet and 10 3 4 inches, set a new Class A high school record. At the state meet, Mark set a new class A record with a toss of 56 feet and 1 inch. Robert Marks is the speedster. Speech, a new course offered to seniors this year, gives them the opportunity to learn the ability to speak in public. Here Peggy Munter is demonstrating how to properly set a table. Pat Peters finishing the cedar chest which he made in industrial arts. The mechanical drawing students work hard on their projects each year. Two different displays were put up in the library this year to show their accomplishments. Mike Boles is just finishing up his last project. A brave girl in the biology class puts their snake back into the jar. Typing class is one of the best places where everyone learnes by his mistakes. 92 AUTOGRAPHS Students spend the last few days of school doing many things: buying pictures from the annual staff, catching up on their reading, cleaning typewriters and tapes, and relaxing in the library. 94 SCHOOL IS: parking one's car backwards and receiving a ticket. a place for serving detention from 4:00 until 5:00. running for an office and having the thrill of winning. a place of concentration, but, wait! Is that Mr. Field concentrating???? 95 Mrs. Corsant and Mrs. Mitchell as hostesses at the tea replenish empty glasses and cups. Carol Bullls and Sherry Rumberg chat seriously as they enjoy their tea. The senior girls were honored with a tea given by the Alpha Delta Kappa sorority held in the Home Economics room. Each girl was presented with a carnation corsage and a name tag upon entering. 96 Leona, Peggy, Kathy, Kathy, and Susan enjoy the festivities of the afternoon. Routine in the life of the faculty is placing the absentee list on the door. Mrs. Riebeth strives to keep abreast of the clerical demands of a librarian. Audio - visual aids play a major role in efficient teaching; Mrs. Ostby employs a tape recorder in her speech class. Mr. Sherman pauses for refreshment. Mr. Hurley accepts the plaudits of the F.F.A. at the end of the annual parent-son banquet. 97 COMMENCEMENT 1967 -= f On the evening of May 24, 1967, the Class of '67, decked out in caps and gowns, listen to James G. Battin, Montana's representative in congress, deliver the commencement address.
