Opportunities for discovery present themselves with the experiences of any new venture. The unfamiliar task of planning and building a yearbook brings such new situations. We trust the creation of this yearbook has been fraught with learning discoveries. C? SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE The nature of our times makes us hesitate to speak words of advice, as the Class of 1966 leaves high school. We adults even, are fumbling for some superior wisdom to guide us through this strange era, which seems as dangerous as the war-filled past. We are thankful for the daring spirit, self-reliance, and hopefulness of youth--good weapons totake with you on the uncertain path ahead. We have faith, too, that the advantages of school life, the learning and the play, the chance to appraise your own powers, will give you strength, courage, and a willingness to serve. We hope that Hardin High has done well by you, and we wish you Godspeed, 5 MR. ED MILLER MR. LOYLD SAUNDERS MISS MARJORIE STAUDENMEYER MR. EVERETT BUL.LIS MR. ORVILLE SAVERN MR. VERN KAISER 6 MRS. IN MEMORY OF Darrell Allen Romine January 17, 1948 -- June 20, 1965 The Big Horn Chapter of the Future Farmers of America would like, to present this section of the 1966 Hardin High School Annual. Darrell Allen Romine was one of the most active members in our organization. Whenever something had to be done, Darrell was always there to help with it. He donated many many hours of his time to our organization in order to keep it going. Darrell received both of the chapter degrees and held the office of parliamentarian. He was a member of the livestock judging team, taking trips to District Conventions and to the Winter State Fair at Bozeman. He worked as an usher from our chapter at the Great Falls fair. Darrell was also a Delegate to the FFA National Convention held in Kansas City,'Missouri. Darrell, a very busy and ambitious lad, built many projects in the shop which were displayed at fairs throughout Montana. He found time for all of these activities while working hard on his family ranch in the Sarpy Community. During his last two and half years in Hardin High, Darrell made friends who will remember always. Especially will he live in the memories of the boys who worked and played with him in VoAg and FFA. 34 ASQUAD CHEERLEADERS Sandy Holmes Ginny Lundberg Pam Roberts Jacque Zeller The A squad cheerleaders of 66 put forth much of their energy in supporting the team on home town games and visiting games.
