Superintendent’s Message If we are to maintain the dominance that democracy brought us, we must make good our declaration that all men are created equal and see to it that all boys and girls have an equal chance. Experience has taught us that equality of opportu- nity lies through education. Deny education and you have denied all. Education is our most important concern. Never has there been such an interest in schools. From every side come criticism and suggestions. Some way our children must be prepared for the future but they cannot be as specifically prepared for a specific future as people used to think they could. Who, forty years ago, could have planned a curriculum that would have prepared our boys and girls for the realities of today? All the teacher can do is to inculcate certain attitudes and values, certain habits and ways of thinking, which he hopes will help the boys and girls meet whatever problems they have to face when they become adults. Principal's Message H.R. Salyer, Superintendent Administration Jr. High's Message To the Freshman Class: You have now completed the transition from grade to high school. If you wish success in your next three school years, try WORK. There is no substitute for it. Luke Dyche, Junior High Principal The revealment of the formal educational acquirements of any individual must await the passage of time. This yearbook discloses many of the learnings of immediate dexterity, both mental and manual, and some few of the philosophical knowledges attained in the class of journalism. It is an expressed hope that the coming years will reveal still more of these learnings. P.M. Goller, Senior High Principal
