'4 Wteuage Building for the future is a diffi- cult task. The future is so uncertain. The needs of today might not be needs of tomorrow. Values, too, change from one day to the next, so do plans, even the best made. But make no mistakes. The future is only uncertain when you are unsure of the present. Tomorrow's needs are shaped by today's, and values that are really valuable never change. The same with plans when they are built on solid principles, practice them and don't worry about the future. Sincerely, H.R. Salyer Superintendent 77uaa,ea! 4 Wieuage The Senior Class of 1953 may be justly proud of many achievements suc- cessfully completed. It seems that this class has distinguished itself by attaining greater individual participation in class activi- ties. A larger proportion of the class has shared in the many ventures of the group, whether they were serious in nature, or planned for sheer enjoyment alone. It is my hope that this taste of sharing the responsibilities as well as the benefits will carry over into your community and world living where such a philosophy is so essential to the demo- cratic way of life. Sincerely, John M. Fisher Principal
