2iO«H n OMD J AMES MURRAY Late in the year, 1949, James Murray moved to a new school in North Dakota. His outstanding leadership had made our days, days of enjoyment and pleasure which we shall never forget. We, the seniors of Hardin High, miss him immensely. Because of the efforts and fine accomplishments of James Murray, our classmate and devoted friend, we hereby dedicate our annual of the golden year, 1950, to him. May he cherish it always.

SUPERINTENDENT'S MESSAGE There are essentially two pages to our Democracy Ledger. On one page we list our rights and privileges, on the other our duties and responsibilities. As citizens of a Democracy it is a matter of greatest importance to keep our account in balance, never allowing an overdraft to occur. Assuming that we want to get the most out of our lives, it behooves us to be ever mindful of our responsibilities and to see to it that they are translated into positive results. I hope each one of you will exert your efforts to keep Democracy's Ledger in balance. Sincerely, Elmer Skeie Superintendent PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Again we come around to the end of a year alive with the excitement, fun, and idealism which are part of all the plans and projects of youth. This year has been thoroughly pleasant. A penalty is always exacted at the end of these happy years, though. We have to say goodbye to our senior class. In the Class of 1950 can be found all fine qualities of mind and character Even if that were not true, we would still be their devoted friends, because we have been for so long comrades in the enterprise of their growing up. We shall, always miss them in this high school. Our affection goes with them out into the world. Sincerely, H. R. Salyer, Principal
