IIRANIAIIIZS RING ONCE FOR CENTRAL Emma Corbett fMargaret Malonel, a Vermont farmwife, and her telephone set the plot for this play. She calls the entire community, including the aged constable Evans CBobby Balesl, out into a snowstorm to look for a child who really 1sn't lost. Her young widowed niece, Martha Gaines CRosalie Millerl, and her husband, Henry Corbett fDonald Laml, are both domineered by her sharp Yankee tongue. Ed Hogan CJunior Noelkerl is a jovial young bachelor who wants to take Martha to the church supper. This play received a rating of I at the Ray County Contest. THE LAUNDRY MARK This setting is the livin room in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Donivan lDonald Lam and Rosalie Mlllerg. Their youngest son, Win CRobert McAfeeJ, has a habit of entering contests and when he does win ten thousand dollars for a laundry slogan, his sister, Rhoda CAdd1e Lockridgel, and his brother, Virgil iDonald McComasD, want to spend it, but are prevented by another sister, Made- line Clrene Reberryl, who wants to marry Dr. Stephen Rickter fBobby Williamsl. Muzie Krank Cwanda Bailey? brings the washing and Uncle Harvey Kwade Merri- field? sells a old mine to add to the confusion. Phe other characters are: Roundy Robbins ?Bobby Balesl, who has a new French horn, Mimi and Margie CBett Mallory and Betty Penningtonlg the lady saxophone player lJean Can- trillgg Miss Atchison fErna Wittej, who has returned from Europe for her dog, Jasperg Mrs. Bixley Cverna Wittel, who delivers the ten thousand dollarsg and Mr. Harker KJun1or Noelkerl, a reporter of thb nEvening Newsn.
