Awfudinf Qounai The Student Council had its inception in the school year of 1958-1939. The purpose of the Student Council is two fold, namely: to plan 'and carry out All School Activities' and to establish and maintain a wholesome rapport among the student body, faculty members, and school patrons. The officers of the Student Council are as follows: President, Peggy Still, Vice President, Charles Merrifield, Secretary-Treasurer, Betty Frazerg and Adviser, S. L. Lockridge. During the current year the Student Council sponsored a Hallowe'en Party at which games, goblins, witches, cider, pop, hot dogs, and apples left an order for a Hallowe'en Party next year. As the the Student reject the 326O,962.5O name plates hospital at current school year brought an end to World War II, Council sponsored the Victory Loan Drive. In this school was instrumental in the sale and purchase of in Victory Bonds. For this achievement four hospital for the school were placed on beds in the government Springfield. Our school sold lflO of the total state allotment for the Victory Drive in the schools of Missouri. The Student Council sponsored the memorial service for the Alumni who paid the supreme sacrifice in World War II. Mr. George Charno, eminent lawyer of Kansas City, gave the memorial address. 7
