It should help her to adjust herself to her environment and make her ambitious to improve herself. It should supplement home training and empha- size the wholesomeness and beauty of family ties. It is highly technical and deals with the fields of Mechanics, Sound, Liaht, Electronics, Forces, Gravitation. and Energy in its many forms. World War II proved the value of a good training in the field of Physics. Since we are living in a Scientific Age, the demand for Science is increasing and thus the recent addition of Chemistry to our Curriculum thereby gives us four solids in Physical Sciences. The main objective in General Science is to acquaint the student with the basic principles of Science as well as the fundamental techniques used in the Laboratory in order that the pupil may have a solid foundation for his more specific training in the other science courses: namely, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, which are offered in the courses of study. The Bulldogs were playing under a one week of practice. After being beaten by Liberty in their the Excelsior Tournament, the team went into by trouncing Camden in their second game. But handicap, as they had had only first game at the semifinals the Smithville five ruined our hopes by taking our next game. Under Coach Watskey, the Bulldog cagers developed a fast break that put them on fire. They beat Lexington, Henrietta, Stet, Dover, and Lawson. It looked as though they couldn't be stopped by a team from a C class school. But again their hopes were ruined by Wellington in the Hardin Tournament. The championship game was a thrilling game, which can be seen by the score 18-16, but Wellington finally won out just at the close of an over-time period. 20 , , Baagafllaff , Stet ------- Hardin-36 y, Central ---- 27 Hardin-C56 34 Stet ------- Hardin- 1 23 Henrietta--26 Hardin-23 Richmond---51 Hardin-19 Liberty ---- 29 Hardin-15 . I stood spellbound, for there I found God's loveliness--just as the sun went down. A soft breath fair gently blew my hair As I picked the sweet flowers of this golden hour.
