Our first electlon results were thus, Miss Evelyn Allison, Sponsor, Guy Hort Presldent, Della Sutton, V1ce President, and James Sutton, Secretary and Treasurer Our class dues were set at f1fty cents per six weeks, which held through our four high school years We lost two of our beloved class mates whlle Freshmen, they were Ruby Crumpton and Marvln Carter For our initiation the boys wore dresses and carried dolls and the girls wore very short sklrts and smoked plpes Our king and queen thls year were Guy Hort and Della Sutton We were allowed two parties, for one we played games in the gym, and the other party was a hay r1de and wierner roast When we began our Sophomore year of high school we were more spunkle and less afraid We lost a classmate th1s year, Jackie Calvln, and gained one, Harold Fast We chose Mrs Alice B Hall for our sponsor, Clifton Wooldridge, President, Louise Phelps, Vice Presldent, and James Sutton for Secretary and Treasurer We initiated the 'Green Freshman,W but our n1te session was crashed by the Juniors and Seniors We gave a play, nThe Barga1n Bride' whlch went over well and also gave us a good start financially This year our k1ng and queen were Eldon Richards and Della Sutton The ones who served at the l9b9 Junior Senior Banquet were lin pairs as they servedl Barbara Bowman and James Sutton, Louise Phelps and Clifton Wooldrldge, and Gale Miller The girls who served at the l9b9 Hardesty Alumnl Banquet were Irene Brewer Lois Brown, Bernice Niedens, Patt1e Sullivan, Della Sutton and Louise Phelps We had two parties again this year, one at Sullivan's house and the other a wierner roast and hay ride We also had a skating party with the Juniors To our sad hearts two of our dear classmates were not with us in our Junior year They were Guy Hort and Clifton Wooldridge, but J01U1Hg us was Bob Lew1s Out of the class was chosen these officers Presldent, Louise Phelps, Vice President, James Trent, and Secretary Treasurer, James Sutton Our sponsor was Mrs Lorna Sellars Our class colors were blue and wh1te, our class motto was 'We Have An Anchorn, our class song was WMy Best To Youn, and our class flower was the Amerlcan Beauty Rose Our king and queen this year was James Sutton and Barbara Bowman At the School Carnlval we raffled off a platform rocker Our Junlor play was 'L1ttle Miss Fixitn It went off very good The Sophomore girls ushered at the play We had our first invitat1onal party as a bowling party at Perryton, Texas It was the f1PSE time to bowl for most of us, but we all had a lot of fun Our second party was held 1n the Home Economics room We played games and everyone had a swell time We gave a box supper when we were Juniors We had three contests at 15 They were WMost Lovesick Couple','Biggest Woman Goss1per in Town', and h 'Ugliest Man' Hg Della Sutton and Eldon Richards, Lois Glenn Brown and Guy Hortg and Irene Brewer 1 . x , , 0 : . ' t e . graduates of '50 a swell banquet of fried chicken and all the in the Hotel Dale banquet room in Guymon, Oklahoma Those Senlors, the School Board members and their wives, high school and we Junlors Thanks to the Sophomore girls for serving We gave the trimmings It was attendlng were the faculty and mates, The banquet theme was WMemor1esW and the colors were Sllver and Crlmson Th1s year as Seniors our sponsors are Glenn D Richards and Mrs J R Lowe, President, James Trent, Vice President, Eldon Bay Bollinger, Secretary Treasure James O Sutton Our class colors are Navy Blue and Gold, our motto, 'We Have Crossed the Bay, The Ocean Lies Before Usn, our flower, the American Beauty Rose, and our song, 'Beyond the Sunsetn From the roll of last year we are minus one member, Robert Lewis Our class rings came about one month after school started We had our Senlor pictures taken a month and one half after school started The class king and queen this year was Emery D Elllott and Bernice Niedens We won the carnlval race th1s year for the first time We raffled off a platform We are selllng concessions at school this year and are do1ng very well on them We sponsored the pre sale tlckets for the Stamps Baxter White Church Quartet which came here for a program We gave a box supper which boosted our bank account a l1ttle We had several musical numbers for enterta1nment For contests we had 'Most Loveslck Couple', 'Nan w1th the Stinkinest Feet', and the 'Biggest Talkern Our picture panel came about the middle of February We were very proud of lt Some of us are working our fingers to the bone trying to produce this 1951 'Buffalo' yearbook, but we think it's well worth our time We are looklng forward to a play, banquet, graduatlon and our trip We say slncerely goodbye to old H H S and good luck to you who will take our places in the years to come. ra . . . Our weinerless Weiner roast was quite a hlt, too It was 1nv1tat1onal and, although not all members of the class were present, we had a good t1me After eat1nv potato ch1ps, cookies, and ol1ves, we went to Perrvton to bowl Four members of the party had a llttle trouble with the mud!
