JUNIOR CLASS The Junior Class consists of sixteen members whose pictures and names you will find on some of these pages. At the beginning of the term we selected our sponsor, Mr. Harold Janzen, and the following class officers: . President Dav d Fast Vice President and Treasurer Billy Brown Secretary . Esther Miles The Junior Class ordered their class rmgs on September 5 from the Star Engraving Company Houston Texas We received them October 29th the day of the School Carnival DeWayne Crawford and Clara Jo Morrls repr sented our class as King and Queen at the Carnival We received sixty five dollars from the proceeds of the Carnival as our part which will go into a fund toward the Junior Sen lor Banquet On December the second we had a class party which was invitational A of the class members attended and had a nice time In January we had a class meet1ng and selected the following Song Buttons and Bows Colors Orchid and White Motto Success Awaits at Labors Gate The Junior Play The Millionaire From Memphis was given in April lhe following paragraph 1S a summary of the play The story is about a young girl named Llnda Wilde who fell in love with a young man from Memphis named Brant Wallace He was supposed to be a millionaire When she found he was a representative fo a chain store who was putting her father out of bus1ness she broke up w1th him In the end she agrees to marry him and her father Works for the Chain Store Company Play Cast Mercy W1lde Linda s mother Emma Leta Phillips Llnda Wilde The young in love with the m1ll1ona1re Clara I0 MOTTIS Brant Wallace the millionaire De-Wayne Crawford Ruby Slade friend of W allace Jack Hale Joyce Powell Linda s best friend Esther Miles Isobel Pierce woman who owned the land Brant wanted Namona Miller Dagmar Holt the soclety leader Georgia Lou I-Tale Glen Stillman the newspaper reporter .Celeberne Eldridge Kenneth Wilde Linda s 14 year old brother Rlchard Bowles The Jumor Senior Banquet was given in May It was can-led gut m the colors of orchid and white and there were approx mately swty people there 14 l 9 !
