BACK ROW: Pat Chancey, Donald Poucher, Wendell Cotton, Marvin Metheny, Jimmy Youmans. The National Honor Society consists of five percent of the Sophomore Class, ten percent of the Junior Class, and fifteen percent of the Senior Class who have an average of B or above, and show qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. They are elected by secret ballot from the teachers. The Sophomores remain probationary members until their Junior year. The National Honor Society has various proiects which include: collecting maga- zines for Resthaven, weekly devotions, polishing the school trophies, collecting ice cream money, selling Christmas wrapping paper, awarding scholarship ribbons at the end of each six-weeks, and the annual Recognition Banquet. The aim of the National Honor Society is to stimulate Scholarship in the secondary schools and to place secondary education on higher levels.
