One of the outstanding presentations was the Latin American Show in which head maiorette, Diane Alderman, depicted the part of the matador, fighting the bull which was simulated by two other maiorettes, Wilma Richardson and Virginia Dishroon. The National Honor Society consists of five percent of the Sophomore Class, ten percent of the Junior Class, and fifteen percent of the Senior Class who have an average of B or above, and show qualities of leadership, scholarship, character, and service. They are elected by secret ballot from the teachers. The Sophomores remain probationary members until their Junior year. The National Honor Society has various proiects which include: collecting maga- zines for Resthaven, weekly devotions, polishing the school trophies, collecting ice cream money, selling Christmas wrapping paper, awarding scholarship ribbons at the end of each six-weeks, and the annual Recognition Banquet. The club, the faculty as guests, attired in suit- able dress and reclining on couches, sampled the Roman extravagant feast at the Roman ban- quet.
