Bartow won by a score of 13-O in a fine defensive game. Leading the Hardee defense was Countsg a sophomore defensive end. He stopped Bartow cold on most of their plays around his side of the line. Terrell led the offense with his dynamic running and blocking. He picked up 53 yards from scrim- mage, his longest gain being a 13 yard plunge through the right side of the line. The Haines City Hornets defeated Hardee by a very close score of 19-14. Haines City scored first with a pass play that gained a triumphant 72 yards. They scored twice more before Hardee be- gan to move with the ball. McCall went over from the 6 for a touchdown and kicked the point after- wards. The half ended 19-7. The Wildcats came back in the third quarter with McCall brilliantly scoring again and kicking, but that was as far as they were able to move the ball duvvrddgull. Mc- Call led our offensive team by scoring all of our 14 points by bucking across both touchdowns and kicking both extra points.
