Through candy and napkin sales, pop bottle drives, and tho onc -;1ct plays xxc learned to knoxx and c0- opcmtc with ouch other while accumulating the largest treasury in Ilurbor's history. Memories 01' lelerclussman yczn-s inchldc our freshman Easter egg s;1lc--TWO 'l'llOL'SAXD chocolate eggs with no wrappers or identification! We had to taste them. The custon'lcrs received the right kinds, but 1101' until the freshmen had sampled them? Our lOLh grade you 1? concluded with the collection of all those non-roturnable bottles, and all those balloons at the baskcrhall I'ournamcnts. Our junior year brought new and broadening experiences to all. We cheered our football team enthusiastically through an Illulcut'cutcnl season, proud Lhzn' our class- mates wcru lnstmmcntul in each Victory. THE CLASS OF 1970 With the dramatic productions came a chance for the class of 1970 to show its varied talents, 49 members played major roles in the musical ll UNDERFUL TOWN and the drama ALL MY SONS. Some of us will neve 17 forget those Irish cope, that Conga line, a certain bass drum, and especially l'elix's pizza and roll call. At last the long anticipated prom week arrived. We put aside any personal differences and strove to make our most important class project :1 success. To- gether, we faced those untimely chemi- stry tests, reluctant gold fish, and an acute shortage of hope. We could never forget secretly nailing the mural to the wall, wading in that frigid water, and waiting in silence for what seemed like hours for the moat to leak. Most of all, the memories of our heautiful'llegends of Avalon and the eo-operution and comradeship that made the prom a sue- Cess will be treasured always. Harbor seemed to have changed to us as we began our senior year. We missed Classmates who had transferred to the new VoEd school. A new administration and unfamiliar faculty members had to be adjusted to. Suddenly we had no one to look up to--we were on top! We soon took our places as Harbor's paeesetters, excelling in sports, music, dramatics, and scholarship. Highlights of our Senior year includ- ed Homecoming Queen Aimee, IF A MAN ANSWERS, Nini, setting the pace , delinquent spelling tests, a Pow- der Puff football team, and yearbook, deadlines . Finally we reached Baccalaureate and Commencement with feelings of nostalgia, relief, success, and hope. Now we must face the future's challenge. The firm foundation we have established during our years at HHS will help us continue in straight paths. Advising the class of 1970 through 1110 four years are John Severino and Miss Geraldine Arnold. KATI IY BE? IA MIN REBEC CA RUTH BEHLING MARY ELLEN ACIERNO CHARLES ANDREWS RIC 1x L. Most of us rcmcmhcr her as being a quiet person, though her smile gave a message of friendship and happiness, Although we didn't know her long, we will never forget her. SCOTTI. CRANDALL Most of our Senior Class started out being friends with Scott the very first day of kindergarten. As the years went on, our acquaintance bch came warmer and closer. You could always depend on Scott for that needed encouragement 0r smile. Scott was active in Cross Coun- try, Hi-Y Teens, Intrumumls, Latin Club, Senior Men, Stage Crow, and Wrestling. 110 was one person who we could say was a friend to everyone. Although he left an emptiness with us, he also left fond memories in our hearts. SENIOR DIRECTORY MARY ELLEN ACIERXC: A.
