Superintendent Ralph S. Lanham Ourisuperintendent, Mr. Ralph S. Lanham, came to the Harbor Schools in the fallof 1949. Mr. Lanham graduated from Bridge- water College in Virginia with an A.B. and has done graduate work at the University of North Carolina, Madison College, and Wake Forest College. He obtained his M.A. from Ohio State University. The Harbor community is justly proud of the fine work Mr. Lanham has done here. Board of Education PAUL E. HAKALA, PRESIDENT -- Mr.-Haka1a was elected to the Board in November, 1945. He was elected President of the Board in January, 1946, and has served as President since then. He is a graduate of Harbor High School. JAMES G. LAIRD, VICE-PRESIDENT -- Mr. Lairdhas been the Vice-Pres- ident since his election to the Board in 1945. He is a. graduate of Harbor High School. DR. CARL G. PEARSON -- Dr. Pearson has been a member of the Board since January, 1950. He is a graduate of Ashtabula High School. HARRY G. BUONOMO -- Mr. Buonomo has been a member of the Board since January, 1952. He is a graduate of Harbor High School. CHARLES D. POTTI -- Mr. Potti has been a member of the Board since January, 1952. He is a graduate of Fairport High School. ROBERT Z. KOSKI, CLERK OF THE BOARD-- Mr. Koski has been Clerk of the Board since January 15, 1946. He is a graduate of Harbor High School. L. 10 R. SENIORS OF 1055 - This Commencement marks a turning point in your living. For twelve years you have been in school as a student. You have had the guidance of teachers and administrators dur- ing these years. Your school, the organization of which you have been an active member, has set standards, regulations and provided activities for your welfare. Now you are adults. You will be so considered by the public. You willbe competing with other adults for the things you wish to have and for your accomplishments. Opportunity before you is unlimited. You will limit your chances of success and recognition only to the degree that you are not willing to work. Your personality can be your best calling card. You will find that you must influence people if you are to achieve anything in life. Howpeople regard and respect you will be a clear reflection of your own self respect. In adult life competition is strong. In this competition may I suggest tU that you make a definite choice of values or objectives, LU that you think clearly, Bi that you cherish the help others unselfishly give Mi that you give your best, unselfishly to whatever you do, and CH that you develop a deep and abiding faith in God - one you can implement into practice each day.
