In the past, truck work has heen unorgan- ized, as a result of which training and team work were image imn'y quantities. Twining began, early in March. with a series of cross country i'ilnsi The courses varied l'i'om two to six miles in length. The trip to uThe Sulzwuy and hack has been made in twenty-four minutes, while :1 I'Lln t0 the Lip-town post-otiice and back necessitated t'ni'ty-nne minutes of rather strenuous exercise. A handicap race, with a handsome silver cup for first prize. will be staged in the latter part of May. This should settle the tlLlESllHLI nt' supremacy in long distance rune ning. Since Gary, Findley. Wullender, and St. Ledger are quite evenly matched. and each represents :1 diti'ei'ent class. the 'aee should prove very interesting as lmth an individual and class contest. The Seniors can ljUZlSl of two men, Gary and E. McCon- nell, on the team who ui'e sure paint winners in any high school meet. Gary. as captain ul' the team. has set an excel- lent example In his men regarding conseientious tmininge Although he um step to regard time in any distance from one hundred yards to six miles, yet he specializes in the half mile. Earl McConnell. ITiIllltthUl'. is mi; must versatile athlete.
