Homecoming . . . The Fight Song . . . We CAN win. we WILL win. we re GONNA win . .. THAT’S RE- BEL SPIRIT! — .. 2 WE ARE THE REBELS THE MIGHTY REBELS 3 HARALSON COUNTY REBELS SO FIGHT ’EM REBELS — _________________________ WE’RE FOR YOU REBELS VICTORY! YES WE RE FROM HCH We. at HCH. arc fortunate to have a top-notch vocational department. Be- sides giving our students a break from academic subjects, these classes help to prepare them for life with job skills that only comprehensive high schools such as ours can offer. Our vocational students, many of whom participate in skill and leader- ship contests, engage in activities that deal with public relations and on-the- job skills. They get hands-on-exper- ience in classes such as cosmetology, electro-mechanics, metals, construc- tion, auto-mechanics, office training, business education, home economics and vocational agriculture. WE RE BLUE AND GREY 10 AND PROUD TO SAY WE RE THE HARALSON COUNTY Even though time passes on we will never forget our years as students at HCH. Our memories will make up a collage of lunchtime with friends, no chew-ing gum. classes all day. no breaks in between, pep rallies, projects for class, and bus rides. We will always remember the good times we have had with our teachers and friends, as well as the troubled times. SO FIGHT ’EM REBELS 14 15 WE’RE FOR YOU REBELS R RESPECT E—ENTHUSIASM B—BELIEVE E—EXCELLENCE L-loyalty S—SATISFACTION Respect others and at the same rime gain respect. Be enthusiastic about the task ahead and strive to meet the challenge. Believe in yourselves, School, communities, parents and coaches. Be satisfied with nothing but the best. Be loyal to your team, coaches, and school. Do not let up until you have reached the personal satisfaction in knowing that you have given your best. Know that quitters never win—winners never quit. I IN MEMORY Life s a pretty precious and wonderful thing. You can t sit down and let it lap around you . .. you have to plunge into it; you have to dive through it! And you can't save it, you can't store it up; you can t horde it in a vault. You've got to taste it; you've got to use it. The more you use the more you have . .. that's the miracle of it! Austin The 1985 REBEL staff feels that this school year has been a fascinating one, a year full of growth and rewards. Its thirteen members came together in July to begin plans for a yearbook that would accurately represent the true REBEL spirit. In keeping with the Year's motto, More in '84; Alive in '85, the staff decided that Pride in Motion was their personal theme for the year. Since that time the staff has done nothing but move in the right direction. Despite the fact that staff personnel have often been seen rushing to and from the annual staff room on the border- line of hysteria, they realize that every minute has been worth it so that a book may be produced for the most important people alive — YOU! The staff hopes that you take the same pride in the memories that have been collect- ed in the 1985 REBEL. LEFT TO RIGHT: C. Calhoun, Advisor; D. Sims, Editor; M. Lanier, Business Manager; S. Helton, Communications Chairman 176
