• 1982 REBEL ____ Jschocy Tallapo£s£f M 30176 wfe Exp Expressions of Unity..., Expressions of Wisdom Expressions of Expressions . . . Smiles, tears, and laughter; The myriad expressions reflecting the many emotions of joy among our many friends and teachers at HCH long to be revealed in our Expressions. 9 AUO STADIUM Expressions of ... Unity IN MEMORY THEN LAUGH Build for yourself a strong box, Fashion each part with care; When it’s strong as your hand can make it, Put all your troubles there; Hide there all thought of your fail- ures, And each bitter cup that you quaff; Lock all your heartaches within it, Then sit on the lid and laugh. Tell no one else its contents, Never its secrets share; When you've dropped in your care and worry Keep them forever there; Hide them from sight so com- pletely That the world will never dream half; Fasten the strong box securely— Then sit on the lid and laugh Bertha Adams Backus Pres: Laura Gable Vice Pres: Kevin Campbell Sec: Melissa Stanford Treas: Tana Bridgers CLASS OF ’82 We Show Our Pride Cindy Abney Angela Akin 19 Stacy Phillips Adams Tina Anderson Hoppy Arnold Scott Alexander Jeff Ashmore 20 Faith Ayers Paul Bagwell Andy Baker Steve Benefield Keith Bates Walter Blanks Louise Bowman Sally Boyd James Baskin Tom Brown Lonnie Barrett Mark Benefield Tana Bridgers Patricia Brown Kay Bush Robin Briscoe Patty Brown Mason Bush Amanda Brown Scott Burrell Kevin Campbell 22 Trena Coalson Greg Denman Tony Ellis Keith Coffman Don Dyer James Entrekin Pam Coalson Don Deese John Edwards Debbie Garner Dennis Garner Mike Green Anthony Grizzard Rebecca Hagood Monicha Hamil k f Sue Goldin Randy Hagan Tammy Harrell 26 Lisa Harrison Mike Haywood Byron Head Teresa Holdbrooks Charles Holloman Patricia Houston Patrice Howell Melanie Huff Michael Jeffers Bill Johnston Sandy Jennings 28 Pam Hutcheson Rodney Johnson Bobby Hulsey Robin Jones Scott Kimball Sherry Layton Angie Kelley Greg Kitchens Lisa Lingo Dale Littlefield 29 Monica McElroy Alana Macrander 30 Kim McAlister Bart McClure Paula McElroy Rita Macrander Wade McElroy Ricky Merrill 31 DeAnne Newborn Gavin Nichols Carol Ocker Wanda Parrish Sheila Ploof 32 Becky Pollard Tony Pollard Randy Poole Kelli Posey Louis Rarick Sherri Puckett Valerie Reeves Danniel Robinson Greg Rainey Kipp Roberts Donna Robinson 33 Jan Robinson Fiona Ross Shirley Ross Michael Rowell Ken Sanders Lori Sanders Todd Sanders Ken Saxon Cynthia Shackleford Greg Shackleford Bobby Smith Len Smith Johnny Sims Melissa Stanford Angela Slate Dana Smith Gaye Stanley 35 Jo Anne Stevens Jeff Thompson Reba Ward Mike Sumlar Twyla Wade Delores Webb Mark Summerville Donna Waldrop Angela Webster 36 Michel Welchel Jennifer White Anita Williams Sandra Whitman Keith Williams 37 Wesley Williams Don Wilson Robin Wood Carey Worthy Dreams Steven McElhannon Life is but a dream That we travel here below. We face the darkest vallies in life As we onward go. There will be times of sorrow, There will be times of pain; But through this rugged life down here, Success our hopes to gain. Even though it does not seem possi- ble, That first step lies ahead; When we all must face tomorrow, Where our dreams of life have lead. 38 by: Sandra Whitman 39 Senior CINDY ABNEY: FFA 1.2.3.4; Reporter 2; Secretary 3.4; FHA 1; FBLA 1.2.3; VOCA 2.3.4; Secretary 3; Historian 4; Region II Contest 3. WISDOM 65 Dedication There are several people in our school who promote determination, dedication, spirit, fellowship, and accomplishment, as well as other virtues that one must possess and value in order to strive for the very best. Mr. Bill Nelson is one who has taught these virtues to our students. He has proved that if a person will attempt to reach a goal, he will succeed in some way. Another group of people who have taught these virtues is the Rebel Coaching Staff. They have gained the recognition of working hard to teach the students that dedication and a good attitude pays off and that, with determination, each person can achieve his goal. All of these people have shown the students and fellow members of the faculty and administration, kindliness and amiability that are sometimes needed to reach a goal. These people have shown by their actions and accomplishments that they possess the qualities necessary to occupy positions of leadership. We, the yearbook staff, are proud to dedicate the 1982 REBEL to Mr. Bill Nelson, Band Director, and to the Rebel Coaching Staff of Haralson County High School. 66 Seated. L-R; Broughton Rowell. Supt.
