Sawing! 2 Top row: Bart, Sanoba, Graczyk. Bottom row: Trusik, DeAngelis, Jones, Pszczolkowski, Moser. CLASS HISTORY Look . . . there by the door! What are they? Surely they aren't . . . they can't be . . . yes, they are . . . the members of the class of 1958. This was how we were introduced to Har-Brack. The first meeting of our Sophomore Class was held on October 4, 1955. We had elected Fred Maeder, President, Ron Smith, Vice President, Loretta Arvay, Secretary- Treasurerg and Kathleen Affrica, Activities Board Representative. In this, our first year of high school, we chose Miss Walker, Miss Young, Mr. Walsh and Mr. Stilley as our sponsors. As our sophomore projects we chose to sell stationery and Christmas pin and earring sets, which we made ourselves. The following were elected officers for our junior year: Mary jane Harper, Presi- dent, Fred Maeder, Vice President, Charlene Painter, Secretary-Treasurer, and Betty Bea Andrews, Activities Board Representative. Miss Zilcosky, Mrs. White, Mr. Rutkow- ski and Mr. Sagath were elected to replace Miss Walker, Miss Young, Mr. Stilley and Mr. Walsh as sponsors. As juniors we found the classrooms and teachers to be more familiar. The projects of our junior year were the selling of magazine subscriptions and the selling of Easter candy. Our class had the privilege of breaking all sales records at Har-Brack! We honored the seniors on May tenth at Neptune's Ball, which was the theme of our I 8:15. On Move-Up-Day we proudly replaced the members of the graduating class and thoughts of our approaching senior year were prominent. Our final year of high school was marked with self-assurance. We again voted for class officers and Fred Maeder was elected President, Mary jane Harper, Vice Presi- dentg and Charlene Painter, Secretary-Treasurer. Miss Talter replaced Mrs. Sober QMiss Zilcoskyj as class sponsor. Our Class Play, presented by talented actors and actresses, was a source of revenue for our treasury. Donors were received gracefully and on Move-Up-Day, as we watched the juniors take our vacated seats, we were reminded that soon we would no longer belong at Har-Brack. Soon Graduation Day will be here and those scared, giddy sophomores of 1955 will be the calm, poised graduates of 1958. I7
