Beloved Happy Valley, Our Mem'rys turn to thee. Those cherished days dear to our hearts, We'll never say adieu Cheer the blue-the white, our colors, Wave their banners high with pride All hail! To thee om' alma mater, our Happy Valley High. Gut Ship Horewotd , . . Every man in his quest for kn ow l e d g e must travel a raging sea. As freshmen We embarked on a four-year voyage over the raging seas. Our ship we christened Happy Valley High School. In that first year several men were lost due to seasickness, but those who survived gained some small knowledge of the sea and its ways. As sophomores, we faced a calmer sea, but a wave of discontent and restlessness swept more of our crew over- board. In our junior year, a few of our small crew decided to try their fins and swim . They were drowned by a huge wave of ignorance. In this, our senior and final year, our meager crew will reach its destination. Our voyage grows even harder as we near the distant horizon, but a strong gale pushes us always onward. We must leave our ship, but each of us will carry the memories of our voyage in this, our ship's log, the AQUILA of 1964. , 4 iff Dedication To one Whose witty sense of humor and unusual under- standing and patience has made us hold him in highest esteemg to one who has been regarded as a true friend and a g uiding leaderg and to one who has lead us to Victory and defeat on the basketball court and baseball diamond and has maintained an example of .good sports- manship, win, or lose. We, the Senior class of 1964, dedicate this our Ship's Log, AQUILA 1964, to MR. WAYNE KIRBY. D 1 ,A if gy i 7 710 'Q WF! j', 4 ? ,fl . gf , 4 A winner everytime.
