The future before us vaguely unfolding its carpet of lifeg we must travel and reach the goal for which we are striving. We seem to be traveling the uncertain paths with a candleg only the next step is visible. 8 0 o CCI 5 I 0 ll Doctors, nurses, businessmen, or secretaries, we have made a de finite decision in choosing a specific vocation. No longer do we ponder these quandary thoughts inside, but look to the future with anticipation. 9 51.. fm. ,nf At last the end of the road is in sight, the long dream of fulfil- ment is to become a reality. The four years of study, work, and anxiety are drawing to a close as we hear the familiar strands of Largo and see the silhouetted figures of our classmates in front of us begin to move forward. 10 Ieclica fion As we approach the end of these guided years of work, we face the unknown way before us and sense the call of dedication to those things that are noble. iust, and true. We must pay her the tribute which she so richly deserves. Her high ideals, character, and captivating spirit are implanted in the lives of the ones she has worked with. To one who is loved and respected by the whole stu- dent body and is a coach that any girl would play her heart out for. At the end of a season the results of her hard work and patience are always suc- cessful. Her smile is enough to brighten up any classroom. It is time to put away the old, sloppy buckskin jacket and slip into a cloak of distinction that will take us through the uncertain paths of life. Four years ago we wondered if we would ever be seniors. Now we are at the end of this four-year road and we look back with mingled thoughts- some satisfied, some wishing they had done better- But we have reached the goal. The future is before us and we must face it. The idea of work doesn't bother us: we had that in school. Wfe're not afraid of the weatherg we have on, our coats. When we become discouraged, we shall look back at our defeats and triumphs- they should encourage us. Wfe came through all rightf why worry now! Careers door is standing wide open- waiting. 32 T- 'Ms GLADYS BOLICK JIMMY PARSONS MAVIS KNIGHT ' f M 'Mum :iw , as - A 5 .
