he 1978-9 school year was an action packed fun-filled year. The highlights of this year were the beautiful Homecoming Dance, Saturday, No- vember 4, and the Junior-Senior Prom on April 14, at the Fox Theatre. These were just some of the outstanding events of the year. But, everyday hap- penings at Hapeville are a bit outstand- ing in themselves. Hapeville had the op- portunity to send eight academically in- clined students to a Quiz Bowl Compe- tition at Westwood High School. In the same week, three amateur orators were involved in competition in the Ameri- can Legion Oratorical Contest. There was also the Governor ' s Honors pro- gram, Close-Up and Chorus and Band concerts. The Epicurian Club and the Home Economics classes experienced different aspects of culture by taking field trips to different social spots around town.
