Gazing fondly over the now-past, short span of our high school careers, we realize with an overwhelm- ing sense of indebtedness what a tremendous amount of fun we have had . . . and what a tremendous number of people we owe for all of this fun. The dreams and ambitions of our youthful sub-frosh days have become a reality through hard work, perseverance . . . and lots of help! 'l'he big, big Junior-Seniors . . . the Valentine Balls, the Military Balls . . . all of the dances that each of us has had a part in at some time .... The gala Hobo Day when all the bums came dressed fit to kill . . . the foot- ball games . . . all so wonderful. lVe can never forget those last few days of school . . . everything crowded into one. Just Ducky was just ducky, and the pre- graduation rush set us into a giddy spin that none of us would have been willing to miss. Yes, it was all mighty wonderful . . . all truly, a dream come true. And now we must bid farewell to Hapeville High . . . our teachers, our friends, all of the things we know and have learned to love so very much. Some of us will trudge down other halls of learning, some will go out to seek employment, and still there will be others who will go on to the battlefields to help our country in the crisis it now faces. But wherever we go, whatever we do, a portion of our hearts will always remain here in the halls of Hapeville, where we have spent . . . the best years of our lives.
