Because of this fact, we are wont to blacken out that first year at H.H.S. But if we should do so, then there would be no seniors in '50 So, we term ourselves the last of the Four Year System. ln order not to go a single year without seniors, we lrregulars decided to take five years to graduate so there would be some seniors around each year. Just a little hand full made a big effort to please the seniors of '49, The eighty-three seniors of '49 claimed they had had the best junior-Senior dance in school his- tory. It was the quality, not the quantity, that counted. This, our senior year has passed quickly-all too quickly. As you thumb these pages you will note such happy occasions: How we laughed at the thought of Hobo Day with its queer rags and foreign faces. The holiday seasons, the sports seasons, the teachers and friends. Such sweet mem- ories-yes, and the Senior Play Here Comes Charlie with the excitement of who got what after tryouts and the dress rehearsal, always a flop, and then the big moment: Curtain Time! There isn't space for all our achievements to be writ- ten. just suggested recollections! And last, we come with heavy hearts and lumps in our throats, realizing full well our happy days are gone. Doors swing open to college, or work, we bid our school farewell, feeling proud to wear the '50 ring . . . happy to keep its memories . . . and to cherish the colors of green and white. - The mn again rbinerf' , :Qtr 1 -.11 t.
