I x ' D ,M X M h Q X41 2 1 if I V: 4' f i, fo Jxwfpfzecg c Oat dr ve aloha Llfevs busy hlghway in our Cadwllac con vertlble, we declde to look 1D on the Seniors of l952 We see a lovely manslon along the road and aker lnquhdng, we find that it belongs to Eddie Rettig Well, guess the h rd work pald off fHlS mdher's hard work, that 1S, As we contlnue along the road, me are passed by another Cadillac, and we see the driver is Barbara Juereman A she drove by, we noticed it had a dented fender Later we learned that she had run lnto the river bridge the day before I guess she will never h rge Pull ng ln to the dear old town of Hmxwer, we dmide to vislt the hlgh school, the e we discover that Leonard Rettig is the Agriculture teacher, taking the place of Mr Lampe who lS now too old and decreplt to teach any more Looking around Panover, we notlced the old city has changed conslderably We see a big building lS a e publlc library' We were surprised to see Shirley Wilkinson as the ibrar an She always was quite interested in reading books, though Shirley tells us that Darlene Payer is now chief typing instructor at Brown Mackle school of bus ness we almmfound a glgantic night club where old Toonerville used to be that Jelma Schultz was part owner While conversing with Velma she tells us that Dorothy Smetana had recently been home on leave from the WAVES DOPt likes th6 n vy and has decided to make a career of it we find that Schwartz Dept Store ras expanded and teen taken over by Loyal Doebele He receives able assistance behlnd the meat counter from his wife, Louise when we stop at the new Union Paciflc Rallroad Depot, we flnd Joyce Loseman sitting behind the desk She has Just finlshed her buslness course CShe took her time with it J and is now employed with the rallroad Free pa ses always dld appeal to her Dot far Rpm Hanover, we are told is mmmher prospering farmer who was a former graduate wlth the class of '52 Here llve the Holles, and Elvin and Shirley have been ralsing some good crops, lncluding children Continuing on down the road aways is the home of Dean Sapp and hls wife the former Eleanora Wollenberg hear that the Sa ps are regular Hhomebodies , and that they very seldom go anywhme As we travel on our way, we wonder what the rest of the class of '52 are doing W thin a short tlme, we find what another one lS dolng, for upon our arrival ln Omaha we flnd that Norma Knuffke is now a dental technician there It seems that she has used the experience galned while working for Dr Bongers Slnce we've had a hard day on the road, we decided to stop at the hotel here Who should we see upon enterlng but Lucille Meyer manager of the hotel She took us to the ball room for a grand surprise The pand playing was the nRiekenberg Ranchhandsn led by Devere Rmkmdmrg who also sang solos wlth the band After watching for a whie we see that all the dancers were very accompllshed and smooth in their dancing Upon lnqulry we learned from a shy llttle girl that they had taken instructions f om WPatty's Dancing Schoolu, the instructor of which was Pat Hynek we heard bpm this little girl that she had quite a lot of students of dancing, mostly boys I the hotel lobby we purchased a magazine to read, the title of which was NLifen We were surprised to see that the editor was none other than Lula Crimmins The aqxndence she acqdred while wxking on the annual of '52 sure must have helped her The next day we take a shore drive to Los Angeles and Hollywood,where we find quite a number of the former class of '52 Our flrmzstop is the Paramount studio, where we find Rose Ann Luehring rehearsing a new song and dance routine for her new picture, 'Rosa Her specialty lS Stlll Dance Me Loosen Loren Kruse is in Hollywood now, too In case you haven't been to the movies recently, we'll let you in on a secret Loren is the new Tarzan There is only one trouble though they can't get a leading lady for him we learn that Harold Prichard can be found any time of the year at the home of beautiful Piper Laurie, for she has finally broken down his resistance, and he has consented to marry her at last Seems as though she had a yellow Cadillac convertible Donnie Allerheiligen, whom we found on the intellectual side in hlgh school, also has turned toward Hollywood and success He's now the favorite ballad singer of this day and age, and they say thmzeven old Johnny Ray admits that Donnie 1 a better singer than he was. Donnie got his start with nMule Train.n Making the long jump from coast to coast, we come to washington, D. C., where we discover Marilyn wehling now working with the Civil Service Bureau. She passed her Civil Service test with such a high average that she was instantly taken to the main office. While in washington we happened to get ahold of a washington news paper. we were astonlshed to find that the editor of the NLonely Hearts Columnn was no other than Joyce Meyer. It seems that the Column is continually receiving letters from a certain Mr. Robert Frahm. As the sun sets on all thesevxnnerful and successful seniors, we wearlly arrive at home, wrap our Cadillac convertible around a telephone pole, and take a long, long, sleep.
