Board Of Education From left: Annette Barrash, Roger Yardley, Bonnie Gray (secretary), Keith Unangst (president), Jerry Callahan, Don Edgerton, Larry Straight Board’s Message Congratulations to the graduating Class of 1983. You are about to begin a very important time of your life. Soon you will be asked to contribute to the society of our fast moving world. We are sure that you, with the training and knowledge you have received in the elementary and high school of the Hanover Community Schools, will be able to do an outstanding job. A few short years ago you looked forward to the “top floors” of your school, and they seemed so very far away. Now as you leave the “top floors”, you are looking to a new height in your careers. Thanks to Mr. Hammer, Mr. Murphy and the entire faculty of your school and to the continued efforts of the Board, you have received an outstanding education. The Board wishes you all the best of luck as you enter the outside world. •Hanover School Board WILLIAM TONNE, D.D.S. Hanover, Illinois 61041

SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE My sincere congratulations to the Class of 1983. The diplo- ma you have worked for and received contains no guaran- tees for success and happiness. No piece of paper contains such promises. The education you have received at H.H.S. does give you the tools to carve your way in this ever changing world. Use those tools to the best of your ability. You owe yourself no less. Again, congratulations on a job well done! -Kent Hammer Superintendent PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE Commencement has arrived; the long school year is over. Now that you think about it - didn’t it go fast? What you were worried about in the fall and winter has long passed. Most of your memories are of happy times, and you will remember these and your classmates for life. The rest of your life will go faster and will be full of worries, happy times and new experiences. You will probably marry, will become parents, and will settle somewhere you did not expect to live. You will grow up to be responsible adults and we hope good citizens. Certain values never will change: loyalty, love of family, love of country, your church and your personal values. Be proud of your family, commu- nity, church and above all, be proud of yourself. To all the underclassmen, graduation will come your way. In the meantime, enjoy school; take part in your activities. We pass this way but once! God bless all of you and congratulations to the Seniors! -Bert Murphy Principal 6 JERRY’S TAP Hanover, Illinois 61041
