A Special Thank You From left: John Liberg, Director; Darlene Coffey, Treasurer; Judy Sheridan, Secretary; Karen Harkness, President; Tim Sheridan, Vice-President. Not shown, Peg Otis and Rosemary Haring, Directors. Red Devil Booster Club The RED DEVIL BOOSTERS were organized and at work in a matter of a few months in 1981. We grew out of open town meetings called to see what could be done to avert some of the cuts that we realized were necessary in the Hanover School budget. Recognizing the importance of the school and its programs to community life and pride, we wanted to see what we, as members of the community, could salvage. In reveiwing the budget, we felt we could guarantee to raise enough money to retain boys’ baseball and girls’ basketball. We felt it best to raise the money for a specific purpose rather than for the general school fund. Also, we felt that we could exceed our initial goal of $6,000 and that the excess could go to the school to be used as we mutually felt most advantageous. Since then, our funds have been put to use by the school to support a number of extracurricular activities other than sports! All this was accomplished with everyone’s help in our various fund raising activities. Membership in the Booster Club was high and included students, school personnel, town folk, and country folk. This, our second year, we feel will outdo our first and will enable us to contribute even more to the school. We look forward to our new fund raising activities including our yearly membership drive. This is a yearly need as we work to support our school, a hub of community life in Hanover!
