OUR HIGH SCHOOL YEARS Our Freshmen year was a pitiful sight. Upperclassmen always wanted to fight. We were deathly afraid to be in the halls. Fearing our faces would be smeared to the walls. With every Freshman fearing of that dreadful Slave Day, Tortures came to us in many ways. Yes, our Freshmen year went by mighty fast, And we wondered if we would ever last. Our Sophomore year went a little bit faster. As Driver's Ed. commenced the horrible disaster. From demolishing trash cans to hitting parked cars, Some people began to visit the “Courthouse Bars. We were picked on less. As there were underclassmen who were not the best. Our Sophomore year, we began to mature; therefore. The remaining years we could endure. Our Junior year was the best of all. From Spring and Summer to Winter and Fall. Although our team really got canned. We still put in our time at the concession stand. Homecoming and Prom are our only chances, For it was a tradition that we raise the money, So each could take their honey. And so our Junior year was a great big joke, ’Cause all the festive events made us go broke. Our Senior year is just about done. Our life here is thru, but we’ll start a new one. In the Service? Off to college? On to marriage? Some will be pushing the baby carriage. We’ve left some memories, good ones and bad. Leaving this school will be very sad. Through the years we’ve done so much together. And the memories of that will live with us forever. Our Senior year is our final good-bye. So now it’s time to break every tie. For soon our Senior year will die. But we will always remember good ole HHS, For it has taught us the best.
