Principal’s Message Superintendent’s Message My sincere congratulations to the Hanover student body for a fine school year. Because of my illness, I wasn't able to spend the whole year with you physically, but I have fol- lowed your activities and achievements and have been proud of all of you. Since this is my last year as your su- perintendent, I will call this my farewell letter to all of you. I am now finishing my 30th year in the field of education. The happiest days of my educational career have been here in Hanover. I have found the community, especially the youth, friendly and respectful and kind. I could not find any other community to compare to Hanover, and this includes my home town. Each of you is lucky to have the opportunity to live, play, and be educated here. Hanover School shall always be my school, and the stu- dents shall always be my students. The Class of 1980 will be my last graduating class. You will always be special to me and I wish each of you the very best in life. I shall never forget any of you. GOODBYE! Keith R. Barkdoll, Supt. Congratulations to the Class of 1980. You have reached a milestone in your life. High school is over and the opportu- nities of the 80's are there for your asking. You are enter- ing a new decade, but your basic needs, beliefs, and tradi- tions must be carried on to give you an impetus to succeed in the future. You are our future and we trust and know you will do well. Each generation had its problems and solved them. Progress is made by attacking new problems and working toward the solution. The key to the future is still the worth and dignity of the individual. God Bless you in the years ahead. Remember to be good to your parents and to be proud of yourself, family, community, and na- tion. God speed ahead. Mr. Murphy 21
