Football at Bloomington—After all, it’s only the first game. No school —Labor Day—So soon? Magazine Kick-Off Sale-Go Sophomores. Go! Football at Hanover—Cassville. Just nervous, 1 guess! Football at Highland. Yeah, we broke our bad streak! Football at West Grant—You just can’t beat that Devil Machine Organization Pictures-Yearbook-Smile pretty. Football, Belmont—Oh, well, better luck next time. Individual pictures—I really didn’t plan on smiling. Football, Benton, 2:00. Guess what! No school—Columbus Day—I thought we got off on the 12th. J. V. Football, here, Hazel Green Happy Birthday Bonnie G. Bonfire, Pep-rally—Boy, we sure burned Shullsburg that night! HOMECOMING, Parade 5:30, Chili Supper-Senior, Football, Shullsburg here 7:30 Everyone was working hard that day and night. District II Music Festival Auditions, Sterling—1 can’t sing, I yelled too much at the game. No school—Teachers Institute—Lucky us! Fresh-Soph Football. Hazel Green, here. Football, Hazel Green, there,—1 think I am seeing too much green! No School-Veterans’ Day—Happy birthday Jamie F. Football, Potosi, here,—Let’s drink to them! Report cards—The moment of truth! Musical Play-ANYTHING GOES Musical Play District II Musical Festival, Peoria—Some of them made it! Dismiss early, 2:00, Thanksgiving Vacation begins Thanksgiving Vacation—Over the river and through the woods— Basketball, Pearl City, there—It was a tough one! Basketball, Chadwick, there—What an exciting game! Basketball, Thomson, here—I think I ran into a yellow wall! Unit Meetings, dismiss early, 1 :30—I think we’re having more days off than we are having school — Course who’s complaining! Basketball, Warren, there—War on Warren! Forreston Holiday Tournament—Never to be forgotten Christmas Vacation no school—No school and getting presents. How lucky can one get? School resumes—No, no, never, never . . . Basketball, Scales Mound, here—The last game of the year. Next, to tell the truth as to how great a year 21-25 26 Mar. 4 22 31 Apr. 3-7 12 15 20 28 29 May 6 12 19 21 23-24 25 26 it was. Illinois District Basketball Tournament begins The moment of truth arrived. State Music Contest—Oomp-pa-pa District Speech Contest —Everyone worked hard. Hand out report cards—Guess what? Good Friday, No School —It was a very good day. Easter Vacation—Guess what 1 got from the Easter bunny? Unit Meetings, dismiss early —Here we go again! State Music Contest—We’ll try not to make any mistakes. Spring Band Concert, Music Awards-What did ya think. Mom and Dad? Drama Club Play-Break a leg! Junior-Senior Prom—1 could have danced all night, but I made other plans. District Golf Meet —Fore! District track Meet—I’m all out of breath. Baccalaureate—Don’t start crying now, we haven’t graduated. Semester Exams—we never went over this in class, how was I to know the answer? Lucky seniors!
