Text from Pages 1 - 104 of the 1972 volume:

I DEDICATION MRS. ALBERT GARNER We wish to dedicate our 1972 Yearbook to a woman who gives much of her time to helping the children of the Hanover School. She is untiring in her effort to find material to help them with their research papers. She looks up interesting books for the children to read. She is always on the job and pleasant to everyone. It is with pleasure that we dedicate our Yearbook to Mrs. Albert Garner, Township librarian. HOMER GRAY What would some of us do if the meat market door were locked on Sunday? Or any night before nine o’clock? There might be many of us eating eggs instead of meat. Although he works late and long hours, he is never cross or crabby. He loves to joke and talk of old times. He seems to love Hanover and Hanover people. We hope he is around for many more years. It is with pleasure that we dedicate our Yearbook to Homer Gray. ORGANIZATION PICTURE 2 1972 ADMINISTRATION AND FACULTY President Donald E. Hunt Don Crawford BOARD OF EDUCATION Robert Richmond Secretary J. Irwin Kilpatrick LaVere Steffes 4 SUPERINTENDENT AND PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGES As students, you should be proud to have had the opportunity to attend the Hanover Schools. The citizens of this community have provided excellent facilities, well qualified educators and moral backing in your quest for educa- tion. You have been privileged to receive an education, where you have been treated as a whole person with feelings and not just an identification number in a file cabinet. You have been provided with many fine tools to follow your chosen occupation or profession. I now challenge each of you, as new graduates, to go out and “Carve a Profession— don’t Chisel it.” May I congratulate you and wish you the best of success. Keith R. Barkdoll To The Student Body: I wish to congratulate our Student Body for another fine year. The Senior Class will be leaving in a few days for their place in Society. Our Seniors are leaving behind some of their happiest years of their lives but have nothing but happiness and opportunity to look forward to in the future. I would say to the Seniors, and all High School students, do not be afraid of the future. It holds nothing but great aspirations for you. I would ask that you be a good person, be proud of yourself, your Community, and especially your Country. To the Students who will be with us yet next year, take advantage of your schooling and the extra curricular activities. Best wishes and congratulations to the Class of 1972. 5 Mr. Murphy Mrs. Rosemary Bernard B.S. Education, E.S.U. Domestic Science Mr. Ferry French B.S. Education, I.S.U.
