SCHOLASTIC AWARDS Science Award: The winning of the Bausch Lomb Honorary Science Award is a high honor. It is tangible evidence of conspicuous achievement in the study of science. Also Math Award: The Math Award is presented to the senior boy or girl who has shown outstanding abilities in this field, based on scholastic grades for the four years of high school and results on the H. S. Mathematical Competition Test, which is in co-operation with the Mathematical Association of America. This award is the highest to be obtained by a high school student. REYNOLD NOLAN Betty Crocker Award The Betty Crocker Search Award, sponsored by General Mills, Inc., is planned to help en- hance the dignity and prestige of the American home, stimulate interest in homemaking, and emphasize the contributions to the home being made by high school teachers and to help with their important work. MARY JO POTTER Daughter of the American Revoluation (DAR): The DAR Good Citizen Award is sponsored by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The award honors one girl from the senior class, selected by her fellow classmates and the high school faculty. The aim of the project is to pay tribute to youthful character and to call attention to the four qualities, which is felt to be desirable in good citizens. Those being: DEPENDABILITY, SERVICE, LEADERSHIP and PATRIOTISM. RHONDA PETESCH 30
