Little thought was given then to the idea that some day these first graders would be Seniors--grown men and women, prepared by their years of education to take their place intelligently and productively in our so- ciety. This is our story, our history, of those eventful and never-to-be-forgotten years. We had a big enrollment in Mrs. Dawe's first grade, 40 students. Our classmates were: Sandra Bellrichard Maxine Libbermfl Danny Bryant Leanne L01'1g 'Jo Ann Buman Barbara Bussan ' Ronnie DeFranco ' Donald Fterhelm Ronald Fletcher ' Richard Flies Mary Flippen Pamela Flippen Patricia Fisher Mary Jo Gable Sharon Hoppe Dean'Hutton ' Lynn Ingram ' Janet Jackson Ronald Johnston 'Sally Krippendorf Keith Larson ' Phyllis Leighton 'Earl Markwell 'Robert Miller 'Lynda Murphy Robert Nicholson Gary Paynter James Schneider Anne Schwirtz Robert Semrow David Seward Robert Sisler Gail Theisen Marsha Uecker George Wagoner Douglas Wierma Darlene Heckler John Gable Bruce Herczogh Patsy Weist The eleven people starred are the only ones remaining of the original class of '50, Looking back on it all, you get the feeling that the years have gone by very quickly. It seems only yesterday that we were in the second grade learning how to write under the patient tutelage of Mrs. Haile. In the third grade, we had our first taste of arithmetic taught by Miss May, and in Miss Grave's fourth grade, Mrs. Chapman's fifth grade, and Mrs. Harksen's sixth grade, this subject was expanded to its fullest capacities. Then came that magic year- -seventh grade. We were in Junior High! The elation of this finding went to our heads, for that year our class was split ffor easier handling, no doubtl into Mrs. Kmucha's and Mr. Worth's seventh grade. That was really an impress-ive year for the students in Mr. Worth's class. In eighth grade, we were again united into one group under Mr. Murphy, who was considered capable of handling any difficulties--even our class. And then came the wonderful years--high school. We were no longer adolescents fheaven forbid D but full- fledged men and women. We elected as our class advisor, Miss Litchfied, and through the years participated in a merry round of activities designed to make money for our class. Bake sales, record dances, the annual magazine sales, and class dues were but a few of our many promects. In our Junior year came the Prom, thetheme ofwhich was Evening in Paris, and our class play, The Three Angels, both of which, to put it modestly, were smashing successes. Then we lost Mrs. Millman, the former Miss Litchfield, as our class sponsor. Now we are Seniors! At the beginning of our Senior year, we chose Mr. Porter as our class advisor. This year's activities consist of the yearbook, Senior class play, school newspaper run by our Senior girls, and many other activities. All in all, these have been good years at H. H. S. , productive never-to-be-forgotten years full of happiness and good fun. CLASS OF '50 ROW 1: S. Krippendorf, M. Uecker, G. Wagoner. S. Bellrichard, R. Seward, R. DeFranco, D. Wierema. ROW 2: B.
