« Senior Class History In September of '46 we entered first grade. There were thirty three eager little students just waiting for school to start. Our teacher was Mrs. Anna Greeley. We whizzed through second grade and in the third grade we were taught to write instead of printing. Miss Vera Graves was our fourth grade teacher. Many students showed their talents in band. Well, we made it through sixth grade and now we are in Junior Highl Mrs. Myrtle Keene was our seventh grade teacher. Now it is eighth grade with Mrs. Edith Morrison as our teacher. At last, High Schooll We are already thinking of ways to make money for our Senior trip. We made most of our money from selling magazines, bake sales, chili suppers and record dances. Now that we are Green Freshmen we had to go through our Freshman initiation. We're glad when that was over. Mrs. Sally Priessig was our Sophomore advisor. We placed second with our float in the parade at Homecom- ing this year. During our Junior and Senior year, Mr. Richard Thompson was our advisor. He directed our Junior play which was You Can't Take It With You . At all the home basketball games in our Junior year we sold re- freshments . During our Senior year we presented our play which was Good Night, Ladies directed by Mrs. Edith Mor- rison. The latter part of our last year we sold candy bars to help raise money for our trip. During our years in high school, we are proud to have had Bill Leidinger and Lynn Fleming on the basket- ball team when we won the tournament for two years. Jeane Schuster has been a cheerleader for three years and Homecoming attendant along with Judy Patterson in our Senior year. Judy Patterson also was chosen D.A.R. award winner. We will always look back at the many happy years which we enjoyed at Hanover High School. I

Prophecy Well, here we axe, April 1, 1974, Armstrong Dedication Day at the Armstrong Stadium in Graysville, Illinois. This is a big day for MARJORIE SPEEDO ARMSTRONG; in fact, today's race will be the biggest of her career. To help her celebrate, she has invited the entire class of '58 to get in on the festivities. Although Speedo no longer drives a 'cycle herself, she has that remarkable young man FIREBALL FLEMING driving for her. He has won world renown with his daring stunts on a motorcycle, but today as he and Speedo welcome MAYOR GRAY (who has taken time out of her busy schedule to make the dedication and say hello to her old classmates) he doesn't appear to have changed a bit from his Basketball days. Approaching the three is that well-known theater personality, ALVIN behind the scenes GEIGER, who just returned from Europe with his girls' show. With him happen to be two of his stars—Poopsy Prills and Frenny Fritz, known to us in H.H. S. as Suzanne Grant and Shirley Albrecht. From the gate comes a loud noise and as we move to see what is going on, we see the same old BILLIE LEIDINGER towering over the crowd and insisting he can't afford it. He still gets away with it, for we see KAY GOLDHAGEN quietly step into line and get his ticket. We've heard the rumor that she can afford it. It seems that she, DONNA SPEER and an unidentified party are doing quite well with their pawn shop. It has also been rumored that Miss Goldhagen has a gambling casino in the back room. Miss Speer also has another source of income. She has joined forces with JUNE WEBSTER (the noted Shakespearean actress) and they both re- ceive quite a substantial sum from the state for rerouting highways to rid them of dangerous curves. Also in the crowd we see PAT DUFFY and BOB CLIFF. They are proud of the ownership of fast race horses. They admit their horses are fast but give a lot of credit for their success to their riders, SPIKE EHREDT, KEITH EADIE and DAVID SHAFER. Just driving up is SNOOK REITZ, the world famous writer, just back from a good-will tour on the moon. With her is her financial advisor, VIRGINIA FLIES, and body guards, BILL CLARKSON, CHUCK STREIGHT and TOM THILL. Pulling up behind her are those two business tycoons, BOB SCHAIBLE and BILL HARKNESS. Bob is in the shoe business and specializes in boots. With him is his favorite boot model, JEANE SCHUSTER. His friend Bill sells rabbit's feet. The last of the class to arrive, just back from the Olympic games, are those two demons, JUDY PATTERSON, shot-put champion, and WARREN UECKER, a weight lifting contender. They arrive just in time for the race is about to start. As we gaze into the grease pit, we see BETTY HACKER with her grease gun going to work

Our class advisor is Mr. Robert D. Hires. This year at homecoming, Jean Speer was chosen as Homecoming Queen. Our class is proud of the boys who are on the football, basketball, and baseball teams. Pearl Murphy, Jean Speer, and Karen Theisen are three of the high school cheer- leaders . Most of our money this year was made from magazine sales and food stands at games. We are looking forward to our class play and the prom. We wish the Seniors of 1958 health, happiness, and hundreds of other things.
