SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY The Sophomores have been financially solvent since they entered H.H.S. in 1955. In their Freshmen year they placed first in our brief-money making campaign, the magazine sales. In our Sophomore year we came in last. This year we had three cheerleaders elected from our class. They are Karen Theisen, Jeane Speer, and Kay Bradt. Our Homecoming attendant was Kathy Julian. We were very well represented in basketball and football. We lost one member the second semester. We had four boys out for football. They were Larry Mason, Bill Leldinger, Bill Gray, and Tom Thill. Four boys from our class went out for basketball. They were Bill Leldinger, Bob Schaible. Lynn Flem- ing, and Bill Gray. Jeane Schuster was cheerleader from our class for basketball. We sold candy, pop, and popcorn at the home games to raise money for our trip next year. Our Junior-Senior Prom was May 24 and ourclass play, You Can't Take It With You, was March 22. Last fall we sponsored the Homecom- ing dance. On March 29th we had a Spring Formal. Five boys out of our class went out for football. They were Joe Reifsteck, Stanley Stewart, Billy Whalen, Jim Uecker, and Gerald Murphy. Ten boys went out for basketball. They were Bob Haug, Gerald Murphy, Jim Uecker Billy Whalen, Ronnie Unangst, Stanley Ste- wart, Don Schaible, Joe Reifsteck, Dick Reifsteck, and Richard Pratt. CLASS OFFICERS AND ADVISOR ROW 1: P.
