Dear Class of 1989, Freshman year: a new beginning and a frightening one for those of us who had to face it in the fall of ’85. We discovered we could achieve and fit in with new people in a new school. We took active parts in athletics and school productions, and we cheered our teams to victory. The year has been rewarding and has helped us set goals for future years. This year has been fun as well as educational. We experienced new events, such as Homecoming and Sadie Hawkins. The homecoming prin- cess was Sonya Peretti and the Sadie Hawkins prince, James Corbin. In the freshman sports program, the football team came in second place in York County while the boy’s basketball team came in fifth place. I’m sure the fun and excitement will follow us as we go on to different grade levels and we are definitly ready for it!
