q,-, , , , ,, a --- -1 - -as ME. L,fXWNQE4e CROSS-TRAILS Schoolmates, we're here at the Gross-trails I Resting after the climb of young life. Viewing the foot-worn paths And the ledges we have conquered by strife But far ahead lies the summit of the future Sparkling like the gem of life. We look on the times that have gone, Never fading with our youthful strife. Schoolmates at the Cross trails we must part, Each must his own path take. Heading not the backward trail But striving to do things for his own sake All must face life's stern battles 'And strive toward his long sought career, Then may our memories of past schoolvdays, Bring us much joy and cheer. Schoolmates, it's time for us to part Hope bids us to be true. But memory calls us to that spot, V For we must say Adieu. fo lf Q, Jd. .u-MW V V l pill? innii lvl: , be-1, ,

A 1947 Leer was remain Ethel mary Black As we look back over the years we can still visualize many happenings--some cheerful and others rather embarrass- ing, especially to the one to which it happened. Remember the time Charles Hensler wrote on his English test paper, NA or bust?n His grade was NF and bust.n Do you recollect the time that all of the boys and girls were taking up the art of shooting paper wads.- Mr, Weir finally get his fill of it and decided to search all the boys--the boys just handed the bands to the girls while Mr. Weir searched them, Recall the time the boys filled the girls' books with disinfectant aid made them s.ek? I'm sure the shorthand class will never forget Mr. Brown's NI told you so.U Remember when the fight started over formals and caps and gowns began? I believe we might name Nancy Hyatt and Ruth Ann Bovard as campaign managers-----don't you? Do you remember the speech Lavenia McClure gave on nMy Life in Hanover Sehool?' Remember how Mrs. May always had to keep pushing ua to get this annual out? As a suggestion to next yearfs senior class, try to put it out without so much pushing. Oh, yes, can you still remember when Mary Louise Sto- rie came to this school and how everyone was raving over the ustrawberry blonde?n We shall never forget Bill Huber's way with the girls. Oh, yes, and how all the girls commented on Grover1Lowe's beautiful brown eyes. Also Albert Adams' ability to tease the girls and get by with it,Glen Gray aid Clarence Dean's gossip about the girls, Raymond Lee Duke and his neat hd.r- dress. Our freshman English teacher will go down in history with her thin blouses and cigarette smoke. There was lots of excitement when we stumbled through the tunnel at Clifty and later on took the distributor cap off Irvin's bus to delay coming home, Can you remember each president of our class and how they acted the first time they get up to conduct the meet- ing? nELANGEr '
